1st Students meeting

During the days between 30.11.2011 and 04.12.2011 our students meet in Collège Paul Landowski (Boulogne-Billancourt, France) to design, building and programming robots. Students work in international groups. We have 14 international groups working around robotics: identify sensors, test the sensors, building a TRIBOT and programming it. After that the students must solve a challenge. Robots must follow a circuit as fast as its can. The second challenge is quite similar to the first one but robots will find some obstacle. How can students solve that? Which programme can they do to solve the obstacle?

Useful library about LEGO Mindstorms

Probably when you have started learning something new, you go to the net or to a library to find and read some information about that new issue or topic. I have done a research on the net to find some articles, books and webpages or blogs, and the result is a kind of digital library where you can read a selection of interesting books which can give you good information or take ideas in order to building robots or to programming robots. If you would go into the library plesa click on the next link.

I encourage you that if you find some article, book, webpage or blog iyou will share with the community of our project. Thaks a lot to everyone who has contributed since now. Congratulations. We are the community, all of us are a important part of that project!!!

Robotics: A new project for an old Partnership!

Hi everyone,
we start a new school year and another European School Project. After a long way in this sort of projects, our school, as well as other partners, has started another Comenius project for the next two years. In this case we focus on the field of robotics. We should do it but we are trying not forget our work system and organization of tasks and meetings that it has gave us the best results. Note that you must do a good work in international teams to solve  some challenges that the teachers team must address to you before the meetings.

Robotics work will provide you an integrated curriculum with different subjects and develop a wide range of skills. The main topic, robotics, should introduce you to the tasks into the field of STEM.

This work should be integrated and focusing on matters closest to robotics from Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.  We will advance the idea of a comprehensive work to solve a wide range of problems that we will propose you and that you should solve in international groups.

That new project has been accepted with a good score, 98.13 out of 100. Good job! Congratulations for all!!
